What do they involve?
An Initial Consultation will take 60 minutes and follow-ups will take up to 30 minutes, via zoom, over the phone or face-to-face in Alexandra. This means you can address your health ailments from the comfort of your own home or workplace, from anywhere in New Zealand.
An important part of the naturopathic consultation process is to get to know your body and how it is functioning. Part of this is achieved by asking you a comprehensive set of questions, but to really know what’s going on Dee may perform a series of tests.
Here’s an overview of the tests which Dee may choose to use to assess your health further:
Saliva and Urine Hormone testing
Hormones are vital for life and can impact positive living. So when their levels are too high or too low, there are consequences for our health (and for those around us). Hormone imbalances can contribute to many health disorders including menopausal symptoms, premenstrual syndrome and depression. Hormonal imbalance may result in a symptom picture which includes:

DUTCH Complete testing:
This test is a comprehensive assessment of sex and adrenal hormones and their metabolites. It also includes the daily, free cortisol pattern, organic acids, melatonin (6-OHMS), and 8-OHdG. Patients collect just four or five dried urine and saliva samples over a 24-hour period. Dried samples are stable for several weeks making them convenient to ship worldwide. The cost is around $650.
Organic Acids Test (OAT) and Mycotox Profiling
This urine-based tests provides a wealth of information about the functioning of various bodily systems and can be used to identify possible nutrient deficiencies, mould toxicity, gut dysbiosis, and more. The lab cost is around $550.
